Annotated Bibliography

So from my understanding, a annotated bibliography is a bibliography with three parts. Those three parts are the citation, the summary and the annotation. The summary just gives a little description of the source and the annotation is the bulk of the information. I believe you want us to do a annotated bibliography because it forces us to do our research early, as stated in the video. Also, because the summary will help you evaluate our sources. It can help us because it will keep us from procrastinating. Also, because we will have to dig deep and find out things about our sources.

I definitely agree about it preventing procrastination. But I also think it’s good to really evaluate your sources as you find them as opposed to just scanning through a database, picking out anything that has a few words in common with what you’re looking for. This makes sure we are really picking relevant, useful sources for our research.

Not only does she think we can benefit from an annotated bibliography from getting research early in advance, but also it can help benefit us to structure our paper. The structure plays a major part in writing your essay, one technique I learned from my previous 1101 and 1102 English classes were to use your annotated bibliography to get your arguments across.
